Allanton Jolly Beggars Burns Club – Schools Competition – 2026

The Club was delighted to welcome over 60 pupils to the Schools Competition which was held in St. Aidan’s High School Wishaw on Tuesday 24th February 2026.

Along with the pupils, teachers, parents and Grandparents it was a very successful competition once again.

We have to thank the Jean Armour Burns Trust for their very kind donation of £300 pounds which went towards payment for the use of the School.  The funds were also used for printing of Participation Certificates, Winners Certificates and other incidentals such as gifts for the two non-club members who adjudicated the Singing entries.

We must say a huge thank you to Trust Chairman, Robert Stevenson, who came along to spectate and was suddenly roped in to present the prizes which were Gold, Silver and Bronze medals, plus Trophies.
