Pupils from Park School in Kilmarnock recently enjoy a trip to the famous Burns Cottage in Alloway as well as the nearby ‘Brig o’ Doon’ They also visited the Burns Monument. Later they had their own event in the school rounding off what was a memorable experience for all the pupils.
Teacher Miss Carol Moynihan expressed her sincere thanks to the Jean Armour Burns Trust for the funding received, adding that it enabled parents to join the children at the Burns Supper held in the school.
Carol said; ‘Sharing a meal together offers a meaningful opportunity for parents, teachers, and staff to connect in a relaxed setting. These gatherings will help foster open communication, build trust, and strengthen relationships between our school and the families we serve. Increased parent participation supports student success, enhances collaboration, and reinforces a strong sense of community.
We are grateful for this funding and the opportunity it provides to deepen family engagement. By investing in relationship-building opportunities like the Burns Supper, we are taking important steps toward creating a more connected and supportive school environment’.
The photographs show the pupils thoroughly enjoying their special day.
